Mikołaj Dziurzyński PhD
Bioinformatician, cofounder and board member of DDG Bioinformatics Sp. z o.o., a spin-off company of the University of Warsaw. PhD student at the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw. BSc in biotechnology (2013) and MSc in applied microbiology (2015) from the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw. Coauthor of 11 scientific articles published in prestigious, international scientific journals. In 2019/2029 he completed a four-months internship at the University of Florence, Italy, in the group of dr Marco Fondi, an expert in bacterial metabolic modeling. In 2018 he participated in the “Microbial metagenomics: A 360° approach” course, organized by the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) in Heidelberg, Germany. In his work, he focuses on biodiversity and metabolism of both human and environmental bacterial microbiomes. Coauthor of many bioinformatics tools, including the UniPriVal algorithm for the design and benchmarking of highly specific PCR primers.
