Prof. Łukasz Dziewit
A microbiologist and bacterial geneticist with vast expertise in studying microbial communities of various environments. He also specializes in microbial biotechnology, including novel wastewater purification systems. In the last ten years, he supervised 11 scientific projects, including international ones. He is also a partner in a REPARES (H2020 Twinning H2020-EU.4.b.) project. Dr. Dziewit obtained Ph.D. in biological sciences in 2009 and then habilitation in 2015. He is an associate professor at the University of Warsaw. He improved his skills in the area of genomics and microbiology in Germany (University of Bielefeld) and Italy (University of Florence). He is an author of over 70 publications in SCI journals and six book chapters (total citations: 990, h-index: 19). Additionally, he is a co-developer of 4 patents.
